At that time we intended to build a new ship (tugboat), we contacted the Director of LPN and held a formal meeting at the LPN Makassar office to discuss all the work to be done as well as cost negotiations. With only 2 (two) meetings, an agreement was reached and the work went well until the launch/inauguration of the ship on 25.02.2023

Responsible, On Time, Has Professional Equipment and Manpower

In connection with our instructions from the head office to look for a new shipyard other than the shipyard that we have been using which has always experienced delays during docking. I and the Teknik Bajoe team conducted a survey to the LPN shipyard in Barru. From the track record of the Selayar branch ship when docking at LPN, it was on time. The facilities and human resources at LPN are complete and very good and have high commitment and trust. Alhamdulillah for the past 2 years we have been cooperating with LPN for our 2 ships, namely KMP Merak and KMP Arwana. Our docking time was on time with satisfactory results.

We came to see the dockyard facilities, human resources, work exercises, quality and results of the Shipyard Team. Only then did we dare to entrust our ship dockings to LPN Shipyard. And it is true that the results of our exercise facilities, human resources, and work methods of the Shipyard Team are good and can be relied on for punctuality. Several of our ships that docked at LPN Shipyard were completed on time with good quality. Success and progress of LPN Shipyard, I hope that in the future it can develop again, maybe develop new buildings for the needs of ships in eastern Indonesia.

As an overall review, it is quite good at work, but we will provide some input as follows:

Facilities:
• Dock Capacity, currently information on ships that can board PT LPN is only 4000 DWT, the hope is that in the future it will be increased to a larger capacity or a "GRAVING DOCK" will be made so that we can consider it for our larger ships
• The "dock land" facilities need to be improved, which in our last dock KM TL IX experienced land shrinkage (the soil contour was not hard enough) and there were indications of leaks during operations due to deformation areas (information from OS & Sptd ship supervision)
• The "Owner's Office" might be better improved, especially a more adequate owner's room
• The canteen, which currently looks unfinished, and maybe "lunch" is provided for the owner (our experience in several other docks), a buffet or something like that can be made.

Manpower :
• Saat ini cukup baik untuk manpower yang disediakan namun saran untuk ditingkatkan lagi jumlah manpower yang fullskill sehingga kedepan tidak ada lagi kendala di Manpower.
• Disisi lain sebagai saran, bisa juga mulai kerjasama dengan beberapa vendor-vendor jasa mechanical dan electrical karena dapat juga memudahkan Owner dan menjadi pemasukan lain dari pihak yard juga guna menunjang percepatan pekerjaan.
